The biggest difference between wikis and blogs seem to be ownership. Blogs feel much personal because they are produced and managed by one person, while wikis read more fact-based and have many different authors. I tried writing a wiki for my online health class, and it seemed so boring to me that I never posted it. I thought a blog would be more interactive with my students, but I wasn't checking it enough to ensure students were posting appropriate remarks. It's a commitment to run a good blog- you want to do it well and be a consistent presence.
This blog is a place where teens can find information, ask questions and sort through the multiple and sometimes conflicting messages they get about health. It's a safe place here! Each month we will discuss a topic that matters to teens as it pertains to their mental, physical and spiritual health. Join me!
